Eli was born a beautiful healthy boy, he was a ball of perfection. Little did we know our lives would forever change in just a few months. At 4mo old after less than 24hrs of vaccines at his pediatrician, we woke up in the middle of the night to him scream out and go into a seizure. As first time parents we were terrified. We assumed he was having a stroke. I knew we had to rush to the ER. We were told it was a “febrile seizure” and it was extremely common in pediatric patients especially after vaccines. That intensified my fear even more. Why were doctors downplaying the trauma these poor tiny babies were enduring? Fast forward a couple more seizures especially after a bath, we got a referral to Stanford. After genetic testing we were given the diagnosis of Dravet Syndrome at 6mo. It felt as if I was grieving my son but he was still very much with us. That day forever changed me and took a part of my heart, our family was never the same again. After pumping our baby boy with so many drugs and seeing a new baby be sedated with these we knew we had to explore options. I contacted Jason and went to a consultation. FINALLY after months of not feeling understood, I felt heard, seen, and cared for by Jason. He 100000% knew the feeling as a parent that I have to face. Seeing your child suffer is indescribable pain. Eli takes Jayden’s juice on the daily and we have seen such a difference in his personality alone. He finally looks alive and engages with others. He finally FEELS emotions. We are still in the process of finding his sweet spot with the tincture but I feel zero guilt going this direction when it comes to helping my son’s quality of life. My son is autistic and had been on Jayden’s Juice since he was eight. It worked wonders for years, but everything changed when he hit puberty. After a wellness visit, my son began experiencing seizures. These were not your typical convulse 5-10 second seizures. My son would seize for 20-30 minutes at a time, even once for 45 minutes. The grief, trauma, and fear that followed those days were paralyzing. We put him on medications and one became two and two became three quickly. Even then, he still suffered from seizures and then even began experiencing behavioral issues. Banging his head on cement, punching himself in the head completely unprovoked, and more. My name is Trinity Curtice and I have a condition called Cavernous Malformations throughout my brain. I have had this condition for most of my life but I started having seizures caused by my condition when I was about 15 years old. My doctors at the time suggested that I started Keppra and told me I would be taking it indefinitely. Being scared and not wanting to have another seizure I said okay and jumped on board. I took it for about 3 years but it was seriously affecting my everyday life. I told my doctors and they basically told me I had no choice but to take the medication, so without telling them I stopped. I then tried to live with no medication at all and unfortunately was still having seizures. So when i went back to the doctor I told them i was still having seizures and they decided to put me on a different seizure medication. Even with this one I was still having seizures so I stopped taking them completely after the first seizure I had while taking them and told my family we need to take matters into our own hands and find something that would help me. After researching and talking to people around us, Jayden’s Juice, was brought to my attention. My dad and met with Jason for a consultation, Jason was very honest and gave us very good advice to follow. I completely stopped taking the pills and I ended up taking home Jayden’s Juice that day and since that day, I have not had one seizure.
